Basic On Set Firearms Safety 101 is a specialized course designed for all crew positions, focusing on the safe use of firearms during film and television production. This training emphasizes understanding the role of the Armorer and the importance of crew safety when weapons are present on set. Participants will be introduced to the protocols for handling firearms, the types of ammunition used (including blanks and dummies), and proper positioning during filming. The course will also review the hierarchy of safety procedures and meetings required for productions involving firearms. Additional focus is placed on Safety Bulletin #1, which outlines best practices for handling weapons, and how to address any safety concerns that may arise.
